Parks

San Diego is known for its beautiful weather and its many outdoor activities. La Mesa is San Diego's best kept secret when it comes to parks. With over 30 miles of trails, La Mesa is a hiker and dog owner's dream. I have many personal favorite parks in San Diego, but my top three are Jackson Park, La Mesita Park, and MacArthur Park.

Jackson Park is located in the center of La Mesa and is perfect for a quick walk or hike. The park has multiple entrances and is also connected to the city's trail system. The views from Jackson Park are breathtaking and there are plenty of benches to stop and enjoy the view.

La Mesita Park is one of the largest parks in La Mesa and has something for everyone. The park has a large playground, a basketball court, a picnic area, and plenty of open space to run around. La Mesita Park also has a great view of the city and is a popular spot for sunset watching.

MacArthur Park is my favorite park in La Mesa. The park has beautiful landscaping, a pond with ducks, and a gazebo that is perfect for picnicking. MacArthur Park also has an amphitheater where community events are often held.
